1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SeleVerse ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). SeleVerse is operated by Sele Tech ("we," "us," or "our"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Platform.

These Terms apply to all users of the Platform, including creators, viewers, advertisers, and organizations.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use SeleVerse. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are 18 years of age or older and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

3. Account Registration

To access certain features of the Platform, you must register for an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain and promptly update your account information
• Keep your password secure and confidential
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• Be responsible for all activities that occur under your account

4. Content and Creator Guidelines

SeleVerse is a platform for African creators and journalists. You retain ownership of the content you post, but by posting content you grant SeleVerse a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and promote your content on the Platform.

You agree NOT to post content that:

• Is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or harassing
• Infringes on intellectual property rights of others
• Contains misinformation or deliberately false news
• Promotes violence, discrimination, or hate speech
• Contains explicit sexual content or nudity
• Violates the privacy of others
• Constitutes spam or unauthorized advertising

5. Monetization and Payments

SeleVerse offers monetization features including tips, ad revenue sharing, and premium subscriptions. All payments are processed through SeleWallet (powered by Flutterwave). By using monetization features, you agree to:

• Comply with applicable tax laws in your jurisdiction
• Provide accurate payment information
• Accept SeleVerse's platform fee of 25% on tips and applicable fees on other transactions
• Understand that payouts are subject to minimum thresholds and processing times

6. Premium Subscriptions

Premium subscriptions are billed monthly ($3.99/month) or annually ($39.99/year). Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled. Refunds are provided at our discretion and in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws.

7. Advertising

Advertisers on SeleVerse must comply with our advertising policies. All ad campaigns are subject to review and approval. SeleVerse reserves the right to reject or remove any advertisement that violates our policies or applicable laws.

8. Intellectual Property

The SeleVerse platform, including its design, logos, and software, is owned by Sele Tech and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Platform without our express written permission.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, without prior notice. You may also delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Sele Tech shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
